Easy Apple Cider Hot Toddy

We know what this looks like. A hot toddy recipe? If that doesn't scream, "I'm pinning this to my Pinterest board and will never look at it again," we don't know what does. But don't toss this aside as too complicated just yet- we know no one has time to make their own cinnamon maple simple syrup (or whatever else those crazy recipes ask you to do). So with that in mind, we made a super simple, yet equally delicious hot toddy recipe. Use it to wow your friends on a cozy girls' night in, or just wow yourself while munching on snacks for "the kids" and catching up on The Bachelor. We don't judge.

 

Here's what you need:

• 2 oz bourbon
• 1 spiced apple cider packet (you can find these on the hot chocolate aisle)
• 6 oz hot water
• 1 tbsp honey
• Lemon peel
• Cinnamon sticks

 

Put it all together:  

1. Empty your apple cider packet into a mug. Pour 6 oz hot water into the mug. Smell the deliciousness. Stir. 

2. Stir in 1 tbsp honey and 2 oz bourbon (or more, we won't tell).

3. Peel a small section of your lemon and twist, adding the oils to the drink. Optional: garnish the edge of your glass with the peel, feel super fancy.

4. Add a cinnamon stick, and enjoy!
