This warm Fall has really put a damper on my sweater game. 
Sweater season is my most wonderful time of the year and it's.finally.here.

Dress them up with a pair of slim cut pant and a heels for work, or wear them with a casual jean and boot look....they are my go-to for just about every setting. 

While I totally believe a good sweater is worth the investment, I have rounded up an excellent collection ALL under $100, and many for under $30!

Home for the holidays : without breaking the bank

Holidays are quickly approaching, which makes me antsy to get my home looking it's very best. 
Whether you are hosting a holiday party, hosting a holiday meal, or simply having friends over for cocktails, we all want to hear "oh, your home looks great!" when they walk through the door.
You don't have to spend a fortune to fine-tune your space.

Fall Finds Under $100

Fall is my danger zone. I LOVE Fall/Winter clothes and shoes - to the point that it's beginning to be an issue. 
This post is really just a big compilation of what I am loving, and it's all under $100!

BE A SLOUCH : Tops that look great on everyone

I have covered this topic before, but it bears repeating as we head into a new season. 

Fall is my absolute favorite season for clothes. 

AC is based in Dallas, Texas, where summer seems to last for.ev.er. When we see the first leaf drop we are headed to Starbucks for the pumpkin spice latte in our sweater and boots, regardless of the temp. 

Fall clothing is so much more comfy and forgiving that those of other seasons. 

My #1 fave? Slouchy sweaters. Can NOT get enough. So, since I can't get them all (or can I?) I am sharing them with you. I call it "spreading the love". 

Someone out there is saying "I'm petite - I need to wear fitted clothing only". Not true. You just need a wedge bootie and a skinny pair of jeans and you are set. 

My newest purchase and absolute obsession: this beauty. 

It's a bit pricy but worth every penny. So comfy and comes in 2 color options.

Day Dressing : $100 and under

The daily struggle: "what the heck and I wearing today?"

I find the perfect daytime dress to be the fastest, easiest and most affordable way to throw on a little style. 

"Why affordable?" you ask. Well, you are purchasing 1 item to wear versus multiple to make up a complete outfit. 

Duh, I know.  Just figured it was worth the reminder. 

Additionally (and a big plus), if you are strategic about the fabrics, you can transition these dresses through all seasons. Throw on a jacket, cardigan, sandals or booties and voila.

Target : Home

I think I could do a blog post about Target at least once a week. Seriously, they are just KILLING it right now in every category. 
When there is even the slightest hint of Fall (and I do mean slight, since we are in Texas), my desire to decorate goes through the roof. I think "cozy", "football", "fireplaces". However, my budget doesn't always agree with me. Target to the rescue! While there are tons of in-store pieces available, there are some amazing home decor pieces only offered online.

Summer Hair Tips

Ah, summer. Nothing like crazy humidity and sweat on the back of your neck to make your hair look nice. But don't fret! We've got some tips for you to give you the best summer hair imaginable.

Big Braids

Braids are a great way to embellish your updos in summer. So how do you get them to look thick like a beauty blogger? Volume powder. Sprinkle volume powder on your braid, pat it in, and then gently pull on the braid to make it wider. The volume powder will keep it in place and your braid will look beautiful! 

Curly Girl

Ponytails are great to keep your hair of your neck in the heat, but what to do when they are falling a little flat? Try this trick - throw your hair in a ponytail first and THEN curl the pony with a curling wand. This will give you the volume and style you would get from curling all of your hair, but will save you loads of time!

Frizz Out

Humidity is the arch nemesis of hair. The best way to fight it? Never let your hair go naked...as in, always use product! Argan oils and smoothing creams go a long way, just be sure to skip applying them to your scalp to avoid looking greasy!
