Next up, my favorite facial in a box. This is one of those "well the stars all use it so I will give it a try" type of purchases I made a few years ago. My track record with this type of purchase actually working out isn't great. Except that time. DEAR.LORD this stuff is great. My face felt softer than it had in years, and I looked "dewy". Even my husband said that my skin looked good. That's saying a lot considering I just completely changed the color of my hair and he didn't even notice.

Summer is the easiest season of the year to take date night looks to the next level, in my humble opinion. Light, breezy and a bit flirty is easy to achieve in just about any budget bracket.

GO WITH THE FLOW

Tops that flow are my thing. I wish wish wish I could make super fitted tops look great, but hey, we have to pick our battles. The flowy top allow you to eat a bit more, sit a bit more comfortably....wait, maybe this is why I now need the flow versus the fit? I digress.
Here is the key (at least for me) with wearing the tops that flow: fitted bottoms.
Best bet: skinny jeans, shorter short.


This is a great summer go-to top, and it comes in a bunch of colors. I have it in this denim, and LOVE it paired with white jeans.

NORDSTROM HALF YEARLY - ALL ABOUT THOSE SHOES

I.AM.A.SHOE.LOVER.
I think it's safe to say that at least 75% of my shoes come from the Nordstrom Half Yearly sales. It's the best time to get brand new styles for a MAJ discount. 
After trying on buying quite a few, I will give you a little review of some of my favorites.

First up, this super comfy sandal by one of my favorite designers, Joie. You will need to go up an entire size on these. I am a very true 7.5, but I needed to buy the 8.5 on this one. 
Seriously, these feel like slippers. There is a pale blue I loved too, as well as white, but thought this was fun for a little summer color.

I was on the search for an espadrille but everything I tried on felt a little suffocating. That is, until I found this one! When I saw it was Tory Burch I quickly jumped to the conclusion that they would be out of my spending zone. But for the sale price of $90 I had no choice, I had to get them. This is the perfect day to night shoe, when you want a little extra punch to your outfit but you aren't in the mood for a wedge.
